Dynamic IT: Windows Optimized Desktop Scenarios
Shanen Boettcher, General Manager, Windows Business Group
IT departments are experiencing increasing pressure to control costs, comply with regulations, and maintain security of enterprise systems and data. Moreover, there is growing tension between the needs of IT and the demands of business end-users. In this session, Shanen Boettcher will discuss how Windows solutions and the vision of Dynamic IT help organizations lower TCO, bolster security, and evolve IT as a strategic asset, unlocking the potential of the People Ready business.

City of New York Finance Commissioner and CIO Jane Landon
City of San Francisco CIO Chris Vein

Public Sector organizations are under intense pressure to do more with less. One solution to that pressure is to better manage and be more efficient with your limited resources. However, when using data to make critical decisions, far too often we still just use paper based reports or Excel downloads – making analyzing, sharing, or conducting root cause analysis very difficult. With Microsoft’s new BI solution PerformancePoint Server built upon a foundation of SQL Server and SharePoint Server, many public sector customers already own 2/3rds of what you need to implement Microsoft BI. This session will feature presentations and demonstrations of a number of public sector BI solutions which will show how Microsoft BI has helped their organizations
